CAMPAIGN LEAD ORGANISER - Northern Region
The Service and Food Workers Union - Nga Ringa Tota is a large union organising workers in a wide range of industries, in both public and private sectors.
We currently have a vacancy for a fulltime lead organiser based in our Auckland office.
You will have:
• Experience of working in the union movement as an organiser and/or campaigner.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• An ability to work effectively in a team and on your own.
• An ability to move people from inaction to action.
• The ability to empower others.
• Strong inter-personal skills with ability to motivate workers from a variety of cultures and backgrounds.
• Strong verbal communication skills, including one-to-one, telephone communication and meeting skills.
• Good written skills.
• A determined desire to organise workers to improve their and their families’ lives.
• A demonstrated commitment to social justice.

Finsec (The Finance Sector Union) is looking to employ a full-time Organiser–Legal in its Auckland office. The main functions of this role are providing employment related advice and representation, dealing employment disputes including mediation and Employment Authority hearings and providing general in-house legal advice.
