Fairness at Work

The Fire at Will Bill became law on the 1 March 2009. But the campaign does not stop there. The CTU has announced that it will support any workers dismissed under the new law whether they are union members or not. Read more.

An advertising campaign in press and radio will remind people about this unfair and uneccessary law. A new website (click on the logo) will inform workers of their rights and how to minimise their risk of falling foul of the new rules.

Cuts to KiwiSaver, taxes put up on low income workers

KiwiSaver has been gutted, by halving employer contributions, and taxes have gone up for workers on $20,000 per year or a two-income family with 2 children on $50,000 per year.  Read more.
