The Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union has a vacancy for a union organiser based in Whangarei.

This rewarding role involves regular visiting of workplaces, recruiting and organising working people, negotiating employment agreements and generally advocating for workers’ rights.

Applicants must be self-motivated and able to work independently and part of a team.  Applicants must have a strong commitment to working people and the union movement.

A current driver’s license and good oral and written communication skills are required.  Negotiation skills are an advantage, however training will be provided.

AMEA - National Union Organiser

The AMEA has a vacancy for a fulltime National Union Organiser based in Auckland.

The AMEA represents workers with engineering backgrounds employed in the Aviation, Marine andn Industrial sectors.
This role involves negotiating and interpreting employment agreements, advocating for workers rights nd skills as well as recruiting and organising workers.

Applicants must be self-motivated and able to work indepenently as part of a small close knit team.They must also be able to travel domestically and overnight as required. A current driver’s license and both fluent written and spoken English are essential.
