At NZEI Te Riu Roa we value Manaakitanga and we demonstrate this in our organisation by the welcome we provide to visitors.  Can you manage a busy diary as well as respond to frontline interactions?  We are looking for an executive assistant to manage the busy diary of a public figure and organise in-house events between responding to reception enquiries.

We are looking for someone who can anticipate and resolve issues, independently manage logistics and contribute to the office of the executive.  This means working closely with your team to support each other covering events.

This role is from 8.30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, and there is an expectation you can make yourself available for occasional out of hours and weekend work.

People who do well in this role can demonstrate an interest in unionism and the education of children in New Zealand.  The organisation is involved in advocacy for educators’ rights and a quality public education system.  Your work will contribute to this purpose.
