PPTA | Field Officer-Legal | Wellington or Palmerston North

A Field Officer–Legal position has become available in the New Zealand Post Primary Teachers’ Association Te Wehengarua. The vacancy is a full-time permanent position. A starting date will be determined by mutual agreement.

The appointee can be based in either Wellington or Palmerston North.

The purpose of the role is to develop and strengthen PPTA by providing legal representation for members and advice to field officers on employment law.

We are seeking applicants with knowledge and experience in employment disputes, mediation, employment relations authority and professional body processes (such as the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand).

Salary will be within the range of salaries paid to Field Officers. Removal costs are available for the successful candidate where appropriate. A staff collective agreement covers conditions of employment. The Association is an equal opportunities employer.
