Komiti Pasefika

Komiti Pasefika is the NZCTU’s representative structure for Pacific Island workers.

Formally, Komiti Pasefika consists of members representing each union affiliated to the NZCTU. More broadly, it is the voice in our movement for Pacific workers in union. Komiti Pasefika promote issues and activities that are particularly relevant to Pacific workers.

Two representatives of Komiti Pasefika are entitled to attend the CTU National Affiliate Council and Biennial Conference, with full voting rights.

A National Fono for Pacific Island delegates is held once every two years.  The last Fono was held on 25-26 October, 2022 in Wellington. The Fono can pass remits that are forwarded to the NZCTU Biennial Conference.
