Organising Centre logoThe Organising Centre works with affiliate Unions in developing and implementing campaigns and building organising capacity by:

  • Providing Union education and training for Paid Officials and Senior Delegates.
  • Co-ordination and assistance for unions around ERE (Employment Relations Education)
  • Providing facilitation for Unions around planning.
  • Sharing best practice and innovation across the Union movement locally and internationally.
  • Assisting and supporting industry and sector campaigns and projects.
  • Assisting and supporting CTU initiatives.
  • Working with Unions to build their capacity to provide education for members, delegates and activists.
  • Working with and supporting Te Runanga and CTU representative structures (Komiti Pasifika, Stand Up, Out@Work and Women’s Council)

The Organising Centre is based in Auckland and operates across New Zealand Aotearoa.

Union Education

The CTU Organising Centre co-ordinates and delivers a national programme of cross union education for delegates, activists and union staff.
