About the role:

We are looking for an Āpiha Pūtea to join our finance team based in National Office, Wellington.  You will report to the Finance Director. The role ensures the smooth transition of membership Area Council responsibility for regional treasurer roles to a centralised system.

  • Accounts payable mahi such as electronic filing of invoices and expense claims as well as creditors control.
  • Carry out weekly payment run
  • Accounts receivable work such as receipting deposits, raising invoices and debtor’s control.
  • Daily bank reconciliation and cash management
  • General Ledger journal management

Skills and experience

  • Three years of work experience in an accounts payable role
  • Previous experience in online accounting systems, preferably Xero or MYOB.
  • Explaining financial requirements to members without financial backgrounds
  • Understanding of the communication needs when working with a membership or voluntary organisation.
