National Service Manager – IT | Te Whanganui-a-Tara | PSA

The PSA Te Pūkenga Here Tikanga Mahi has a permanent, full time vacancy for a National Service Manager in our IT department. This position is based in Wellington.

The National Service Manager manages and leads our IT team and fulfills senior helpdesk responsibilities. The National Service Manager reports to the General Manager, Operations and Systems.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Take a lead in strategic planning and help others to take a strategic approach.
  • Lead their team in supporting the PSA’s goals and objectives through the provision of effective technology to industrial, support, strategy and leadership teams across the union.
  • Think strategically and make decisions in line with current and future, local and national, PSA goals and priorities.
  • See the big picture rather than getting bogged down in detail or losing track of priorities.
  • Motivate and lead others.
  • Coach team members and work with them to identify their development needs

The salary range for this position is $131,673 -$142,617.  New employees enter the range on a starting rate based upon previous relevant experience and commensurate with internal relativities. Progression to the top of the scale is by regular and automatic service steps.
