The CTU supports the Sustainable Public Transport Framework (SPTF) because it recognises that public transport is a critical public good, and that it has a role to play in providing good work, meeting our emissions-reduction obligations, and improving the connectivity and wellbeing of New Zealand communities. This submission supports the development of an operational policy for a sustainable bus workforce and identifies how this policy could be strengthened.
