The PSA Te Pūkenga Here Tikanga Mahi is the largest union in New Zealand, Aotearoa and is an innovative and dynamic organisation employing over 200 staff throughout New Zealand. We are recruiting for a General Manager (GM) – Operations & Systems who leads the development and oversight of internal systems that underpin PSA’s strategic and operational effectiveness. The role is responsible for ensuring strong financial stewardship, organisational risk management, legal and regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in operational systems. The GM contributes to strategic leadership across the union, ensuring that PSA’s infrastructure enables excellent outcomes for members.
This position is based in our Wellington office.
We are looking for someone with:
- Senior-level experience in operations, finance or corporate services
- Strong knowledge of financial management and risk governance
- Understanding of union or values-driven environments
- Knowledge of digital systems, data governance and privacy obligations
- Commitment to te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity principles
- Previous CFO or financial management experience is preferred but not essential
