Stand Up is the NZCTU’s representative structure for young workers (up to the age of 35). It was formerly know as YUM (Youth Union Movmement)
Formally, Stand Up consists of members representing each union affiliated to the NZCTU. More broadly, it is the voice young workers in union in our movement. Stand Up promotes issues and activities that are particularly relevant to young working people.
Two representatives of Stand Up are entitled to attend the CTU National Affiliate Council and Biennial Conference, with full voting rights.
A Stand Up Conference for young delegates is held once every two years. The Conference can pass remits that are forwarded to the NZCTU Biennial Conference.
