Which industries/sectors are covered
- Public Service | Rātonga mahi ā te Kāwanatanga and State Sector | Rāngai Tūmatanui – The PSA represents workers in the New Zealand public service within Ministries, departmental agencies, central agencies, Officers of Parliament and New Zealand Defence Force. The PSA also represents crown entities, crown entity companies, Crown Research Institutes, autonomous and independent statutory and state owned enterprises.
- Local Government | Kāwanatanga-ā-Rohe – Local and regional authorities (councils) and their subsidiaries including council owned organisations– all occupations.
- Community Public Services | Rātonga Mahi ā Hāpori – Staff working for NGOs and for private companies delivering community-based services partially or fully funded by national or local government.
- Te Whatu Ora Health Sector – Allied, Scientific and Technical staff including Clinicians, Assistants and Community Support Workers. Mental Health Nurses and Assistants and Addictions workers, Public Health Nurses. Clerical and Administrative staff, Primary Health and Central Functions Staff.
