Membership info

In 2023 NZNO has a membership of 58,000. Of these, 77 percent are registered nurses, three percent are enrolled nurses, four percent are care givers, nine percent are health care assistants, 0.5 percent are midwives and five percent are nursing students.

Cost of membership

  • NZNO annual fees range from $368.17 for lower paid member categories through to $617.14 for those in higher-paid roles.
  • We also have adjusted the thresholds for entitlement to lower fees. There are also lower threshold fees for members earning less than $19,000 and less than $26,000 per annum who are entitled to different special discounts.
