We are the union for salaried senior doctors and dentists, including GPs. We promote, protect and support the interests of our members in all aspects of their working lives. We are working for an equitable, accessible public health care system that meets the needs of all New Zealanders.
Membership info
If you are a salaried senior doctor or dentist whose role requires you to hold an annual practising certificate you can join ASMS.
Cost of membership
- $1,200 per annum.
- However, if your workplace is not party to a collective agreement, you pay a half membership of $600.
- If you are earn less than $120,000 per annum in a workplace with a collective, or less than $60,000 in a workplace without, your membership is calculated at 1% of your salaried earnings with a minimum of $100.
