Closing date: Thursday 5 November 2026
The AMEA is seeking an Admin Superstar to join our close-knit team and provide membership services & Organiser support.
The ideal candidate will be a sleeves-up kind of person, able to manage multiple projects, and adapt quickly as priorities change.
The role suits someone who is organised, curious, self-motivated, compassionate, detail oriented, and a real team player.
You’ll enjoy getting to the bottom of problems, finding practical solutions, and helping the people around you to do their best work.
This role is job-shared with our Financial Controller, so a close and collaborative approach to that relationship is crucial.
Experience with the Windows Office suite is critical, particularly Excel and Word.
It would also be beneficial to have some experience with CRM platforms, along with other applications such as Survey Monkey, Brevo and/or Mailchimp.
This is an office-based role, covering four full days per week. While you will sometimes be alone on site,
your best work will be done when you can act dynamically with the National Secretary to align priorities and
gain necessary approvals to get things done.
Specific tasks include:
Membership management
- Processing applications & union resignations
- Following up non-payment queries
- Maintaining accurate member records
- Answering organiser, delegate, and member queries in a timely manner
Returning Officer tasks
Event management
- Organising and managing Delegate Training Days every two years for up to 150 guests
- Organising and facilitating the quarterly Executive Committee meetings
Communication
- Gathering member feedback on specific issues by Survey Monkey
- Sending member updates when required
- Facilitating seamless membership onboarding, including liaising with multiple payroll officers
Office management
- Keeping a tidy and happy office environment
- Managing branded collateral and other office supplies
- General office admin (filing, phone calls, on-site contact etc)
This is a rewarding role with a supportive team, where your work is meaningful, and you are given the direction and independence to make a difference.
Applications close at 2pm on Thursday, 5 November 2026.
